Audience:
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations.
It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Course Aim:
To provide the candidate with the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid at work situations that may occur whilst working at height.

Role and responsibilities of the first aider
Incident and casualty assessment
Adult CPR and AED
The unconscious casualty
Seizure management
The choking casualty
Shock management
External bleeding
Catastrophic bleeding
Suspension intolerance
Hypothermia
Burns
Fractures
Prerequisites:
Current work / Rescue At Height Qualification.
Reasonable level of health, fitness and aptitude.
Max. Ratio:
6 Delegates to 1 instructor.
Certification Expiry:
The certificate is valid for 3 years.
This course is carried out in a practical environment and includes managing a casualty whilst performing a rescue from height
Throughout the course, the student will be continually assessed and expected to complete a written examination.
Only on successful completion of the whole course and examination will the candidate be issued with a certificate of competency.
