Tower Crane Rescue At Height Training - Crane Erector Rescue 1 Day

For crane and tower crane erectors
Course details
Duration: 1 Day.

Audience: Any person who may have to perform a rescue whilst working on a crane.

Course Aim: To provide enough practical experience and education to competently perform an evacuation of an incapacitated climber from a crane.

Syllabus: 
Pre Use inspection of a rescue system
Attachment to anchor points
Attachment to casualty
Adjustment of rescue system
Lifting a casualty
Lowering a casualty
Understanding suspension intolerance

Prerequisites: Suitable work at height qualification/experience.
Reasonable level of health, fitness and aptitude.

Max. Ratio: 6 Delegates to 1 instructor.

Certification Expiry: The certificate is valid for a maximum of one year.

Throughout the tower crane rescue course, the student will be continually assessed and expected to complete a written and practical examination.

Only on successful completion of the whole course and examination will the candidate be issued with a certificate of competency.

This course is designed and delivered using BS8454 (code of practice for the delivery of training and education for work at height and rescue), IRATA international code of practice and equipment manufacturers technical instructions.

Work At Height Training - Crane Access 1 Day

For persons who access cranes for any purpose other than operating, this normally includes inspectors, electricians, fitters and rescue personnel.
Course details
Duration: 
1 Day (Crane operator rescue course can be added to make this a 2 day course).

Audience: 
Any person who has the need to climb a crane to carry out work or a rescue.

Course Aim: 
To provide practical experience and education so a crane can be climbed safely using PPE and techniques that protect against falls.

Syllabus: 
Pre use inspection of a rescue system
Harness donning and appropriate use
Understanding the principles of work restraint
Understanding the principles of fall arrest
Understanding the severity of falls whilst using PPE
Use of twin energy absorbing lanyards
Understanding suspension intolerance
Use of self rescue techniques
Understanding the hierarchy of fall control measures
Identifying work at height hazards
Identifying crane specific hazards

Prerequisites: 
Reasonable level of health, fitness and aptitude.

Max. Ratio: 
6 Delegates to 1 Instructor.

This certificate is valid for a maximum of 3 years subject to a maintenance of skill level. Throughout the course, the student will be continually assessed and expected to complete a written and practical examination. Work At Height Training - Tower Crane Rescue 1 Day

The tower crane rescue course is designed to provide a site or facility with an onsite rescue team that can evacuate an incapacitated operator in the event of an emergency.
Course details
Duration: 
1 Day (Crane Access course can be added to make this a 2 day course).

Audience: 
Any person who may have the need to rescue an operator from a crane.

Course Aim: 
To provide practical experience and education so that a crane operator can effectively be lowered from the crane to ground level using a designated rope rescue system.

Syllabus: 
Pre use inspection of a rescue system
Attachment to anchor points
Attachment to operator
Adjustment of rescue system
Lifting the operator from the cab
Lowering the operator from the crane platform
Lowering the operator from the crane body
Understanding suspension intolerance

Prerequisites: 
Competent with accessing and protecting against a fall whilst working on a crane.

Max. Ratio: 
6 Delegates to 1 Instructor.

Certification Expiry: 
This certificate is valid for a maximum of 1 year.

The tower crane rescue course is designed to provide a site or facility with an onsite rescue team that can evacuate an incapacitated operator in the event of an emergency.

Course Aim:
